A "now" page, in the tradition of nownownow.com: a snapshot of what I'm focused on right now, so visitors don't have to dig through the archive to know where I am.
This site is my main project right now. Not the design — the infrastructure. I'm working through the IndieWeb stack step by step:
Twenty small utilities in core, each a single file with no dependencies. I keep adding tools when I find a repetitive task worth automating, and I keep the whole thing honest with the verification stack.
Right now the topics on my reading list are: databases and how they're stored (SQLite internals, git's packfile format), the economics of static hosting, and the revival of the small web (webrings, microformats, webmentions). Each topic becomes a blog post when I've worked through it.
No social media accounts. No JavaScript on this site. No metrics. No ads. None of these are moral positions — they're just what the independent web looks like when you take "own your content" seriously.
